Secretary's Message

Geetha Jeevan Arts & Science College in Thoothukudi, run by Periasamy Educational Trust, has been started with the ideology of nourishing and nurturing the potentiality of each and every individual student to the extent of perfection. Our venture is to spread the light of education all around to reach the poor and downtrodden. It is our earnest effort to make the college a difference and a place of education aimed to impart excellence in individuals and prepare them to be excellent citizens, professionals, leaders, bureaucrats and intellectuals. Our focus is on complete development of the student community in and around the area of the college. The college will not only make them contended with what they have learnt but also intensify their desire to learn more and more. Our college aims at fostering the type of education that can develop the capability of students and enhance the composite culture. Education is not just a process of giving knowledge for a high profiled job but a lifelong process that creates an understanding of moral and ethical values to guide. Keeping all these things in mind, we make constant attempts to create an atmosphere for the students to have their higher education in terms of academics, sports and co-curricular and extracurricular activities. The management, the parents, the students and the teaching fraternity of our college function as a team to complement each other’s efforts. I am hopeful that the facilities available in the college will mold our students to be the best and the brightest. The mind and spirits of students will be enriched to develop indispensable moral attributes like honesty, civility, liberality, credibility, integrity, love and empathy.
